Overview:

checkmails.irb is a Web mail robot that can notify you of Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail messages from the tray bar. This is it usually looks like when it is in idle.

This is how it looks when there are new messages.

You can read new messages by clicking the tray bar icon:

IRobot will bring you to the account automatically.

Initial run:

When you are running checkmails.irb for the first time, IRobot will prompt you to login into your account:

IRobot will not sent your account information over network to any other people. It does save your login information in your local "checkmails.irb" file. So you DO NEED to save the "checkmails.irb" as a password protected file if you don't want other people to login into your account automatically!

Enter the username and password and click OK. (The tab key is disable? Yeah, we are still working on this.)

It will prompt for Gmail and Hotmail account as well. You can DISABLE it if you don't need it.
(Entered a wrong password? You need to re-INITIALIZE checkmail.irb and do it over again. Select from the menu:
File => re-INITIALIZE robot file! => YES. )

Now you can close the window. IRobot will hide in the tray bar. (Really want to exit the program? Right click on the tray bar icon and select EXIT.)

Regular run:

The next time you run IRobot, you don't need to enter any password again. IRobot will automatically hide in the tray bar and check mails for you.

Known bugs

The menu stuck when I click the tray bar icon. (Double click the tray bar icon a few times.)
IRobot stops when there is a script error in the Web page. (You need to manually click the Yes or No button to continue IRobot now.)
IRobot consumes to much memory after running a whole day. (We are using IE browser and still wondering how to release its memory. Now you need to restart the robot every day. )
The browser keep flashing and I cannot see my mails. (Don't use the running browser to see your mails. Instead, open the browser from the tray bar and it will not flash.)
